The Boston Celtics entered the 2024-25 NBA season aiming to secure back-to-back championships for the first time since 1969. They achieved a strong 61-21 regular-season record, clinching the top spot in the Atlantic Division and the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
In the playoffs, the Celtics got off to a great start, defeating the Orlando Magic in five games during the first round. However, they were eliminated in the Eastern Conference Semifinals by the New York Knicks in six games.
A significant contributor to the Celtics' season was guard Payton Pritchard. Coming off the bench, Pritchard provided consistent scoring and playmaking, averaging 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game during the regular season. His shooting percentages were notable, with a 47.2% field goal percentage and 40.7% from three-point range.
Pritchard's overall performance performance earned him the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award for the 2024-25 season. In addition to his on-court achievements, Pritchard is extending his impact to the community. He is set to host a youth basketball camp on Saturday, September 27, at the New England Sports Center in Derry, New Hampshire.
The camp is open to boys and girls aged 6 to 16 and will focus on skill development, including ball handling, shooting, and fundamental techniques.
