The Celtics have re-signed big man Amari Williams to a two-way contract, per the NBA’s transaction log.

The 24-year-old played 22 games for Boston in the 2025/26 season, a majority of which were spot minutes, though he did make two starts. He spent most of his time with the Celtics’ G League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, with whom he averaged 17.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game in 18 regular season outings.

While he’s shown some interesting ability to knock down jump shots, Williams’ biggest strength on offense is his impressive passing vision and creativity for his size.

Williams is currently the lone player on a two-way contract for the Celtics after the team declined to extend a qualifying offer to John Tonje.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype first reported on Monday that Williams had agreed to re-sign with Boston, while John Karalis of SI.com said it would bea  two-way deal.
