Celtics reportedly offered Dennis Schroder to Bucks for Donte DiVincenzo

The 2022 NBA trade deadline is just two days away and a pair of Eastern Conference teams looking to make a deep run in the playoffs this spring have reportedly had conversations regarding a move.

In his ninth NBA season and first with the Celtics, Schroder is currently third on the team in scoring, averaging 14.4 points while ranking second in assists at 4.3 per game. The 28-year-old German has also posted 3.3 rebounds and 29.5 minutes per contest in 48 games, including 25 starts, and has registered a .438/.349/.846 shooting line.

Schroder signed a one-year, $5.9 million deal with Boston in Aug. 2021.

Williams is in his third NBA season -- all with the Celtics -- and through 50 games (13 starts), he has posted career-highs in points (7.3), rebounds (3.3) and minutes per game (23.0). His field goal (48.2%), three-point (42.8) and free throw percentage (89.6) are all career bests as well, with his numbers from beyond the arc and at the charity stripe ranking as the best on the team.

A former national-champion and NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player, DiVincenzo has played in just 16 games for the Bucks thus far in his fourth NBA season after missing the first two-plus months with an ankle injury. The shooting guard is averaging 7.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 20.1 minutes per contest and has posted a .324/.286/.880 shooting line.

Milwaukee is currently 34-21 and in second place in the East, while Boston is 30-25 and in eighth place.
