The Boston Celtics find themselves in a predicament they did not see coming. After two home games against the New York Knicks, Boston trails 2-0.
After their second straight tough loss, Celtics reporters Chris Forsberg and Kayla Burton had a discussion on the series with Forsberg calling the Knicks “cockroaches.”
Kayla Burton: “The frustrating thing is that it’s not just about the Knicks; it’s about the Celtics losing their grip. I don’t think the Knicks are doing anything particularly impressive. They’re competitive and tough. Mikal Bridges had zero points in the first half, but then he got hot in the second half. Jalen Brunson didn’t have his best game either.”
Chris Forsberg: “Let’s say this: they’re like cockroaches. No matter what the Celtics do to put them in a tough position, they don’t just sit there and accept it. They’re willing to fight back, and I want to give them credit for that.”
Kayla Burton: “But we’re handing it to them. We’re giving them opportunities. The Celtics are playing scared.”
Chris Forsberg: “We’ll get criticized if we completely dismiss the Knicks. They deserve some credit for how they play and for not rolling over when things get tough.”
"It's not the Knicks…I don't think the Knicks are doing anything all too impressive…"
"They're cockroaches. No matter what the Celtics do…they don't just sit there & take it…"
"But we're handing it to them!"
"We're gonna get aggregated…"

The Knicks are not cockroaches, as mentioned. No, they’re winners, and if the Celtics don’t figure them out, the defending champions will soon be booking their trip to Cancun.
