Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown suffered a bizarre hand injury, affecting his availability for the rest of the regular season.
Ahead of Boston's matchup against the Toronto Raptors on Friday, Brown showed up to the TD Garden Arena with his right hand wrapped tightly. Brown told reporters he cut his hand on broken glass from a vase he'd knocked over while watering his plants.

While Brown is upset over his clumsy mistake, he expects to be ready to return to the court in time for the start of the NBA playoffs. However, Brown will sit out the Celtics remaining two regular-season contests.
After Brown spoke to reporters, head coach Joe Mazzulla echoed his comments, saying the team wasn't too worried about the injury.
"Just got a cut on his finger," Mazzulla said, via Chris Forsberg of NBC Boston. "Expect him to be fine, nothing serious."
Brown's absence won't affect the Celtics' playoff positioning. Boston clinched the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Ahead of Friday's action, the Celtics had a three-game advantage over the Philadelphia 76ers (52-28) for the second seed in the East and trailed the Milwaukee Bucks (58-22) by three games for the conference's top spot.
In his seventh NBA season, Brown is having a career year. The 26-year-old earned his second career All-Star nod, averaging 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals over 67 games.
