The Milwaukee Bucks were so close to extending their NBA playoff series against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night. However, a huge collapse in overtime saw their run come to an abrupt end.
NBA legend Charles Barkley, who witnessed the shocking development while covering the game for "Inside the NBA," couldn't help but be disappointed by what happened.
After leading by as many as 20 points in the game, the Bucks allowed the Pacers to claw their way back into the contest. By the end of the third quarter, both teams were tied at 75, setting up a thrilling finale.
As the game went to overtime, it looked like the Bucks were finally in control once again, leading by seven points with 40 seconds remaining. Surprisingly, however, an Andrew Nembhard 3-pointer and a Tyrese Haliburton and-1 play allowed Indiana to make it a one-point game.
In the closing seconds, Haliburton delivered the final blow, going past Giannis Antetokounmpo for a tough layup to give the Pacers the 119-118 victory.
As for Barkley, he could only make a face-palm gesture as he watched the Bucks squander their lead.
"They were up seven with 45 seconds to go," Barkley stated as they watched the game. "Now, they are only down one with 17."

To be fair to Charles Barkley, he has every reason to be frustrated with what the Bucks showed. After all, despite having Giannis Antetokounmpo, they weren't able to extend the series, won just one game and were eliminated.
Now, Milwaukee enters the offseason with plenty of questions surrounding their future, as they failed to even make it to the East finals for the fourth straight year.
