With the NBA season approaching the All-Star break, it is clear that the Oklahoma City Thunder are going to be one of the teams to beat for the title.

Oklahoma City has dominated their way through the season thus far thanks to their elite play on both ends of the court. They currently hold a 43-9 record, which not only has them sitting at the top of the Western Conference standings but also holding the best record in the league.

Of course, the Thunder have been led by MVP frontrunner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as well as Jalen Williams. Both players were named as All-Stars this season and have been a main reason the Thunder have been as dominant as they are.

Chet Holmgren has also played a role in the Thunder’s success despite missing over two months with a hip injury. Holmgren recently returned to the court for Oklahoma City, giving them another great young star to help their run at a title.

While these three players are the most talked about for the Thunder, Aaron Wiggins has also been a bright spot this season, and Holmgren recently praised him after his 24-point performance on Monday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.

“Every team could use an Aaron Wiggins,” Holmgren said. “It’s not like he hasn’t been capable of this. We are just seeing it right now.

Wiggins has been a great story for the Thunder this season. Oklahoma City drafted Wiggins 55th overall in the 2021 draft, and he has played a solid role off the bench for them throughout his career.

This season, the 26-year-old has taken another step forward, becoming a key player off the bench for the Thunder while also providing them with a solid player in a starting role when he is needed. Wiggins is averaging 10.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 50.2% from the field and 38.5% from three this season.

With Wiggins continuing to develop, he has turned himself into a key role player for the Thunder and has made a major impact on their incredible season thus far.
