Josh Giddey could command a hefty payday from the Chicago Bulls this summer after emerging as one of the team’s most impactful players in 2024-25.
The Australian international averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.2 steals on 47/38/78 shooting splits across 70 regular season appearances (69 starts).
Giddey also joined LeBron James and Nikola Jokic as the only players to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists this year. He also became the third player in Chicago Bulls history to put up those single-season numbers alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, per StatMamba.
With that said, Giddey will enter restricted free agency this offseason, and the Chicago Bulls will likely have to pay up to keep him away from rival teams.
HoopsHype NBA insider Michael Scotto could grant Josh Giddey’s wish of a huge payday this summer. The former Oklahoma City Thunder star could command a similar contract extension Jalen Suggs received from the Orlando Magic last year.
“The belief around the league is Bulls restricted free agent guard Josh Giddey hopes to command a similar five-year, $150 million deal to Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs and earn roughly $30 million annually or more,” Scotto reported.
Besides Giddey, the Chicago Bulls front office will be busy negotiating new contracts with Nikola Vucevic and Coby White, who are entering the final years of their current contracts next season.
