The Chicago Bulls have unexpectedly found some form. When they traded Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings before the deadline, the expectation was that their season would be headed nowhere but downward after that.
For a while, that appeared to be the case as well. But the Bulls are on a 5-1 run and have climbed up to 9th in the East.
Those who had expected them to 'tank' in hopes of improving their draft lottery chances have been proven completely wrong.
Their latest win came against the Utah Jazz. A complete team effort saw all five starters score in double-digits. Two got double-doubles, while two others were a rebound away from doing the same. The odd man out was Coby White, who dropped 26 points.
There is more good news for the Bulls as well. Josh Giddey is progressing well and he is likely to return for one of Phoenix Suns/ Sacramento Kings back-to-back. He won’t play both.
Josh Giddey is progressing well, per Donovan. Likely to return for one of PHX/SAC B2B. Won’t play both.

Giddey has been the Bulls' best player since LaVine was traded and his return will coe as a major boost for the team.
Since the turn of the year, Giddey averaged 15.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists. His efficiency has been fantastic as well, as he has shot 47.3% from the field and 43.8% from three-point range.
Right now, Giddey is playing the best basketball of his career without a doubt and should be in line for a significant contract extension.
That being said, over the last three games, the Bulls have shown that they are capable of competing even when Giddey is not available.
