Chris Paul finally rips 'disrespectful' Clippers

For most of their history, the Los Angeles Clippers have been bottom-feeders and "the other team" in Los Angeles.

That all changed when Chris Paul arrived in town, establishing himself as either the greatest or second-greatest player in franchise history.

That's why it felt like such a gut punch when they cut him midway through last season, not even giving him an opportunity to get a farewell tour or walk away from the game on his own terms.

Now, months later, and with the Clippers dealing with yet another scandal, the future Hall of Famer finally broke the silence on his exit in an interview with Daniel Lubetzky.

Chris Paul opens up on "disrespectful" Clippers exit

“What’s interesting about that whole situation is, it’s probably one of the most disrespectful things that I’ve endured,” Paul told Lubetzky. 

Paul added that he and his family couldn't fathom how the Clippers would treat him that way, admitting that he was pretty angry with the way they handled the whole situation:

“I think just because of the investment we made in the team for as long as we have, and to see the way stuff was handled. What it lets you know is that no matter what you do or what you’ve done, nobody cares,” added Paul.

The Clippers took a similar approach with Blake Griffin, trading him without a heads-up shortly after telling him he would be their franchise player.

Paul will go down as one of the greatest point guards of all time, and with the way the Clippers treated him, it's hard to envision any big-name free agent looking forward to signing and playing for that front office.
