Clippers Announce James Harden News on Wednesday

James Harden was unable to suit up for the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday against the Golden State Warriors due to a shoulder injury. Despite the absence of the former NBA MVP, the Clippers still took down Steph Curry and the Warriors, 103-102.

L.A. is back in action on Wednesday in a road game against the New York Knicks. Harden was listed on the Clippers’ injury report for the matchup at Madison Square Garden as the 11-time All-Star continues to nurse his shoulder issue.

Harden was initially listed as questionable to play against the Knicks before being upgraded to probable just hours before tip-off.

Harden is having a resurgent year with the Clippers. In 32 games played thus far, the 6-foot-5 combo guard has averaged 25.7 points on 43.3% shooting, which is the most he’s scored since the 2019-20 season. Harden has also registered 4.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 35.4 minutes per contest, while also knocking down 3.3 triples on a 35.8% clip.

Harden has been an integral piece in the Clippers’ recent hot streak. After a brutal start to the campaign, they have won seven out of their last eight games and are heading into Wednesday’s game against the Knicks with a 13-22 record.

The good news for L.A. is that Harden has been cleared to return. The Clippers announced via the official injury report that Harden will be available against the Knicks.

This is an important development for the Clippers as they look to make it two wins in a row against a Knicks side that has lost four consecutive games.

Bradley Beal (hip), Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) and Derrick Jones Jr. (knee) will remain sidelined for the Clippers. The Knicks, on the other hand, will not have the services of Josh Hart (ankle) and Landry Shamet (shoulder) for Wednesday’s contest.
