The Los Angeles Clippers have won back-to-back games since losing to the Chicago Bulls last week, snapping their six-game winning streak. The Brooklyn Nets were next in line in the Clippers buzz saw with a 30-point loss Sunday night. Another Kawhi Leonard masterclass and aid from the supporting cast helped Los Angeles cruise to a dominant win in Brooklyn.

Kawhi’s Constant Scoring Output

The two-time Finals MVP is on fire with Leonard’s 24th straight game scoring 20+ points. His importance to the team is crucial as he’s been the constant scoring option for the team when his teammates begin to struggle in some games.

Leonard was the only Clipper to finish with 20+ points adding onto the narrative that he is the center of this playoff push.

The Supporting Cast’s Impact

Ivica Zubac’s return on the court from his ankle sprain has been a factor in these past couple of wins. He put a double-double on the Nets with 10 points and 11 rebounds. The other starters pitched in with James Harden finishing with 19 points and eight assists. The sudden rise of John Collins’s importance to the team has continued with his 18 point performance.

Contributing on the bench was Jordan Miller who scored 16 points and rebounded seven times in 23 minutes.

End Of My Los Angeles Clippers Rant

Sunday night brought another tally in the Clippers’ win column. The back of superstar Kawhi Leonard has done heavy lifting, especially in this win.

If Leonard can continue this scoring streak and keep the team’s playoff hopes alive, he can be considered a serious contender for MVP. A six-win and 21-loss record turning into a playoff spot was unthinkable in November. It seemed as if the franchise was calling it quits this season after cutting Chris Paul, but Leonard has forced the team to playoff contention with yet another win in Brooklyn.

The Clippers are scheduled next to face against the rebuilding Utah Jazz on Tuesday night at 7pm PST.
