The Los Angeles Clippers have made some major changes to their roster this offseason.
They made four major acquisitions this offseason that included 3 former All-Stars.
Those moves have made big improvements to the Clippers' starting lineup and added a lot of depth that they lacked last season.
They're also going to create some serious competition for playing time on the 2025-26 Clippers.
In fact, there is going to be so much competition that one of the biggest names now on the roster might have nights where he doesn't see the floor.
While recently speaking to the media, Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank revealed that there may be nights where Chris Paul doesn't play (via Clutchpoints' Tomer Azarly).
Lawrence Frank says that Chris Paul will play a reserve role and that he may not play some nights. https://t.co/ViHoc2eoF3

Paul is coming off of a season with the San Antonio Spurs where he played the least minutes of his career, getting just 28 minutes per game.
Now it sounds like he'll see that number dip further as he returns to the Clippers.
It's not surprising to hear that a 40-year old will be decreasing his minutes on a team that will want to make sure he stays healthy for a playoff run, but it is a bit surprising to hear that there may be nights where there isn't room in the rotation for Paul.
He was still a useful player for the Spurs last season, chipping in with 8.8 points and 7.4 assists per game in his 28 minutes.
That should make him an important part of the rotation for the Clippers on the nights where he's called into action, but it seems it won't be enough to keep one of the greatest point guards the NBA has ever seen from spending some nights on the bench as he once again chases a ring in LA.
