The legendary Clyde Frazier started Friday night's New York Knicks broadcast with a bang.

Frazier, a two-time NBA champion and seven-time All-Star, has been anchoring MSG Network's coverage of the Knicks for decades. His broadcast style is matched by few simply because he sounds like a poet with all of his analogies and rhymes.

During Friday night's MSG broadcast, Frazier turned plenty of heads by cracking a joke about the Chicago Bulls and their recent losing streak.

The Bulls haven't won a game since March 23. Not only are they on a six-game losing streak, they've lost all but one of those games by double digits.

Believe it or not, Frazier compared the Bulls to Iran. No, we're not kidding.

"Mike, I was talking to my friends, man. And I was talking about eradicated, obliterated, devastated," Frazier said. "They thought I was talking about Iran, but I was talking about the Bulls. In their last game to the Pacers, they gave up 145. Against the Sixers, they gave up 157 points."

Frazier's broadcast partner, Mike Breen, couldn't help but laugh at this opening to the Knicks-Bulls game.

NBA fans react to Clyde's remark.

Although it may have been a bit unhinged, Frazier received plenty of praise for his Iran joke.

"Clyde is the best," one fan declared. "He brings life to broadcasting and obliterates all the competition. Love Clyde."

"My biggest long-term concern with the Knicks franchise is who they pick to replace Clyde," a second fan wrote.

"There’s NO ONE like this man," another fan said. "A NY legend until the end of time."

The Knicks will be back in action on Monday against the Atlanta Hawks. It wouldn't surprise us if Frazier has another wild opening monologue ready to go.
