Bronny James is carving out his role with the Los Angeles Lakers. Two years ago around this time, he starred in the McDonald's All-American Game, and one sports card collector now owns a piece of history from that high school all-star showcase.
Reddit user WembyShaq1of1 recently found a 1-of-1 Topps Chrome Bronny James McDonald's patch autograph card. The card features the circular McDonald's patch worn above the left breast on his black jersey from that game.
During that game, James nailed 5 of 8 3-pointers and finished with 15 points and four assists. His West Team fell short, 109-106 at Houston's Toyota Center.
James played at USC for one abbreviated season before being taken in the second round by the Lakers, the team his famous father, LeBron James, has been with since 2018.
Bronny scored a professional career-high 39 points for the franchise's G League team, the South Bay Lakers, on Monday night. The performance was another step in the right direction as he continues to try to prove he belongs.
Is this most unique Bronny pull?

"They see an improved, young player deep on their bench, which is where he should be at this point in his career," The Athletic's Joe Vardon wrote last week. "Any outside suggestion or expectation that Bronny, who missed half of his lone college season recovering from cardiac arrest suffered during a summer practice caused by a congenital heart defect, would do more for the Lakers than what he's done this season was off base."
Bronny has averaged 2.3 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in his 23 games with the NBA's Lakers this season.
