Collin Murray-Boyles Makes Summer League Debut

Toronto Raptors 2025 first-round pick Collin Murray-Boyles made his Summer League debut on Sunday after missing the first game.

The rookie showed signs of development as he finished with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 block is 23 minutes of action.

The 9th overall pick struggled out of the gate. He had three turnovers and got into early foul trouble in the first half. However, he settled in the second half partucualry on the defensive end.

Offensively, Murray-Boyles started on the perimeter, but he did air ball two threes. He looked a lot better when he was involved in the screen and roll. His highlight of the game came on a sequence where he came up with a big block and then scored on a putback dunk on the other end.

The shooting for Murray-Boyles will be a work in progress but he was active, showed great mobility and his defense was solid in his first pro game.

The Raptors defense was once again impressive as they picked up a 89-86 win over the Orlando Magic to improve to 2-0 in Summer League.

Murray-Boyles and the Raptors will look to make it 3-0 when they take on the Denver Nuggets on July 15.

Alijah Martin throws down vicious slam in Summer League debut

Alijah Martin was the story of the Toronto Raptors’ first Summer League game.

The rookie wasted no time showing what he can do. In the second quarter of Friday’s Summer League game, Martin threw down a ferocious poster dunk in what was one of the most impressive dunks ever seen at Summer League. Martin beat Javon Freeman-Liberty off the bounce and accelerated to the the rim. He took off from two feet and finished the emphatic one-handed slam over Chicago Bulls’ big man David Muoka.
