Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry continues to expand his influence on the basketball court and beyond it.
Curry is widely regarded as one of the best and most influential players in the history of the league, with his 3-point shooting being a catalyst for how the game is played today. The 37-year-old guard is a four-time NBA champion, two-time NBA MVP, 11-time All-Star and a two-time scoring champion, among many other accomplishments.
Off the court, Curry has been equally impactful. His Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife Ayesha Curry, has been helping kids since 2019 gain access to nutritious meals and educational and sports resources that allow them to thrive.
More recently, Curry released a book titled "Shot Ready," which he said is "a story about belief, resilience, and doing the work when no one's watching." With his book, the Warriors guard hopes to inspire "every young dreamer who’s ever been underestimated."
Speaking about his new book, Curry also dropped an exciting development on Friday, revealing that "Shot Ready" is now officially a New York Times Best Seller.
"Shot Ready is officially a NY Times Best Seller," Curry declared. "None of this happens without all of you showing love and support. Truly grateful!"

For those unaware, the New York Times Best Sellers are "up-to-date and authoritative lists of the most popular books in the United States, based on sales in the past week." Curry's book falls under the "Advice, How-To & Miscellaneous" category.
It's certainly an impressive accomplishment, especially when considering the fact that not a lot of active athletes achieve such recognition. LeBron James did it back in 2020 with his "I Promise" animated children's book.
Unsurprisingly, fans were quick to heap praise on Curry for the achievement, with one even writing, "Chef Curry legend."
"Wow. Best Seller. Everybody saying it’s fake. I know real winners when I see them. Nobody else could do it. Not even close," a commenter said. Another one added, "congratulations steph."
"I read it and it inspired me to keep going in life. Thank you so much for all you’ve done for me in my life my GOAT, keep continuing to inspire millions around the globe," a supporter shared.
A fan remarked, "Shot Ready hits NYT Bestseller list proudly."
"Congrats!" a follower simply stated.
Curry's achievement only further highlights how his impact extends beyond the basketball court.
Perhaps fans will see Curry do more projects outside of basketball, especially as he continues to be a cultural figure and role model for kids and young athletes.
For what it's worth, after his book, Curry has an animated movie titled "GOAT," which is set to be released on Feb. 13, 2026. The Warriors All-Star is not only a producer of the film but also a voice actor for one of the characters.
