ESPN reporter Ashley ShahAhmadi had exciting news to share this week in regards to her personal life.
ShahAhmadi has been with ESPN since August 2023. She often covers SEC football for the Worldwide Leader In Sports, working closely with Dave Neal and Aaron Murray. Oddly enough, she went viral during halftime of the 2024 SEC Championship between Georgia and Texas. That's because she was hosting the Dr. Pepper halftime contest.
Unsurprisingly, ShahAhmadi doesn't just cover college football. Last year, she was a reporter for ESPN Radio's coverage of the NBA playoffs.
Prior to joining ESPN, ShahAhmadi worked for Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta. The Emmy Award-winning journalist also covered the Charlotte Hornets for Bally Sports South.
In April, ShahAhmadi announced that her and her husband are expecting their first child together. The happy couple got married in October 2023.
"The best week of my life," ShahAhmadi wrote on Instagram. "I don’t even have the words… all I can say is getting to marry my best friend in front of the people we love the most, in a place that means the world to us… just incredible. I can’t stop smiling!"
Earlier this week, ShahAhmadi provided an update on her pregnancy journey with a wholesome video on Instagram.
"The most beautiful, truly magical thing," the ESPN reporter wrote for her caption.
ShahAhmadi received plenty of love on this Instagram post.
"Congratulations Ashley. And to y’all. Very exciting," an Instagram user commented.
"Oh my goodness congratulations," another person wrote.
"Oh wow I’m excited Ashley Ik the baby gonna be awesome," a third person said.
ShahAhmadi has already said that she's expected to give birth this summer.
We're wishing ShahAhmadi all the best as she gets ready to become a mother.
