The 2025-26 NBA season will be the Dallas Mavericks’ first full campaign without Luka Doncic since 2018.

The Dallas Mavericks may have traded away Luka Doncic, but they are still facing the consequences of the shocking move.

The once beloved organization has lost a plethora of fans. But even then, the front office remains hopeful for a solid 2025-26 season, a thought that franchise legend Dirk Nowitzki shares.

Biggest additions to the Dallas Mavericks’ roster

Following the arrival of Anthony Davis from the Los Angeles Lakers last season and drafting Cooper Flagg in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Mavs aren’t in need of a major revamp of their roster.

Now it’s head coach Jason Kidd’s job to ensure that the new-look Mavericks gel together as a unit during the upcoming season.

But if there was one move that made headlines for the team, it was Kyrie Irving re-signing with the team. With that in mind, let’s take a look at all the additions made by the Mavs this offseason.

Although Irving’s return is huge, the 2016 NBA champion is expected to miss the majority of the 2025-26 season due to suffering a torn ACL injury last season.

Biggest departures from the Dallas Mavericks’ roster

There’s no departure that’ll sting Mavs fans as much as the announcement of Doncic’s trade to the LA Lakers did.

Moreover, with general manager Nico Harrison claiming that the team is in win-now mode, it makes no sense to allow multiple players to depart in the summer.

Keeping that in mind, here’s the sole departure from the franchise during the offseason.

Yes, Dinwiddie is the only notable player who left the Mavericks this summer. The veteran guard joined the Charlotte Hornets for the upcoming season following a one-year stint with the Mavs.
