Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving isn’t bothering anyone’s business ever since he suffered a torn ACL injury. However, his name was dragged by NBA analyst Chris Broussard during the current argument about LeBron James ‘ “bag.” There have been many claims that the Los Angeles Lakers star has “no bag” and is why he doesn’t have a plethora of ways to score the basketball.
During the recent episode of his show, “Mind The Game,” with NBA legend Steve Nash, James addressed the narrative. According to him, he’d often see fans claiming on social media that he doesn’t have an offensive bad. However, he ended the argument by saying that he’s the all-time leading scorer in the league.
“I see it all the time, I’ll be on social media and like, ‘LeBron has no bag.’ I’m sitting over here with 50 billion points,” James said.
Other experts decided to weigh in on the talk. Broussard, the longtime analyst, argued that having a bag isn’t necessary. However, having the impact to win games is more important. This led him to give Irving, a player who has plenty of ways to score the basketball, as an example.
“The most important things are productivity and impact on winning. Kyrie’s got the ‘bag.’ Does he impact winning like a LeBron James? You know what Kyrie doesn’t have as he has a better bag than LeBron, the court vision of LeBron, basketball IQ, things that some guys with the bag don’t have,” Broussard said.

Despite not having as many championships as his former teammate, Irving has contributed to his team’s success. The Dallas Mavericks star has proven he’s a winner in the league.
The Dallas Mavericks hit the jackpot by winning the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. The Mavericks have a chance to draft Cooper Flagg soon and pair him with Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. Both Flagg and Irving played for the same college program, and the 2016 champion had a message for the upcoming NBA star.
“We definitely are connected,” Irving said. “He is a Duke Blue Devil. I know he can deal with the pressure and I’m looking forward to seeing a great season not only from him, but a lot of other young players that are here nationally and also internationally. The future is y’all’s!”
