The heat is rising as the league is going towards its business end. With the Cleveland Cavaliers going up against the Detroit Pistons , the matchup was expected to be quite closely contested. However, with the series tied at 1-1, Game 3 came in with a lot of tempers flaring. Especially between Daniss Jenkins and Dennis Schroder.

During the first quarter, the Pistons surged ahead initially. At one point, Detroit led its opponents by seven points. Thankfully, thanks to a gritty display, the Cavaliers erased the Pistons’ lead and went 21-20 at the 5:06 mark. And this high-octane action gave way to a heated altercation between Jenkins and Schroder.

As the two teams showed urgency, Jenkins and Schroder could be seen fighting for the ball. Immediately, the tussle got wayward, and both the stars went up face-to-face aggressively. They also threw their hands at each other for a moment. However, before the situation could escalate further, the duo decided to call it quits and get on with the game.

As the game came to an end, it was the Cavaliers who emerged victorious. Winning by a scoreline of 109-116, the Pistons are now trailing 1-2. For Detroit, despite making an unwanted record earlier, Cade Cunningham emerged as their top scorer. Dropping 27 points on the night, the 24-year-old’s efforts came short as the Pistons failed to get over the line.

Meanwhile, the story was completely different for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

How Did Dennis Schroder and Daniss Jenkins Fare In the Game?

Just like the match’s outcome, both Jenkins and Schroder had contrasting luck. While both stars came off the bench, Jenkins played 18 minutes and scored 2 points. On the contrary, Schroder logged in for 22 points while accounting for 11 points.

Additionally, the Cavaliers came out strong, riding on the back of stellar performances from James Harden and Donovan Mitchell. Despite having injury concerns following Game 2, Harden played 40 minutes and scored 19 points. But the highlight of the game was Mitchell, as he dropped 35 points in 38 minutes, giving Cleveland an all-important victory.

Thus, with things becoming interesting, all eyes are now on how the Pistons respond next.
