Darko Rajakovic Explain Story Of Raptors Pizza Party
Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Raptors have finally earned themselves a pizza party, notching their third straight win.

It took the Raptors nearly a year to secure a three-game winning streak but Toronto pulled it off after an impressive 130-122 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Scottie Barnes had a monstrous game putting up 21 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 blocks.

Seven Raptors finished in double figures as the team continues to play unselfish basketball.

Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic was asked about the pizza party following the win and he explained the story behind it via TSN’s Kayla Grey:

“So the story goes I promised our guys early in the season that once we get three wins in a row, I would take them to a nice dinner. But since we have such a group of humble guys, they said like, we don’t need any fancy place, we can go for pizza but we’re gonna negotiate. We’re gonna go, but I’ll treat them to dinner for sure.”

Rajakovic was asked what his favorite pizza is and he said “My pizza is only margherita. Simple Italian pizza.”

Then Rajakovic was asked if he is a fan of pineapple of his pizza, “Noooo,” he said.

The Raptors winning three straight is a true testament to this team starting to turn the corner.

They have bought into Rajakovic’s offensive system and are playing hard defensively.

Toronto has looked like a completely different team out of the All-Star break. They now have their sights set on the final play-in spot in the East which is within reach.

The Raptors have gone through a wild season, but now in this final stretch they are showing just how good they can be.

Next up for Toronto

The Raptors will look for their fourth win in a row when they take on another talented team in the Dallas Mavericks.

The Raptors were victorious in Dallas 127-116 when these teams last met on Nov. 8.
