Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has four NBA titles, 11 All-Star trips, and two NBA MVP awards to his name.

At the age of 36, Curry is still one of the top players in the NBA, and he just hit the 25,000-point mark on Saturday night against the Detroit Pistons.

On Monday, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Curry is adding a new chapter to his career. Curry has accepted a role with the Davidson men's basketball program as the assistant general manager.

Davidson is Curry's alma mater, and the Warriors star now becomes the first and only active player in US pro sports to take an administrative job with an NCAA team.

After the news was announced, Davidson had a simple reaction to Curry joining in his new role.

"That’s Assistant GM to you," the Davidson basketball account wrote.

Curry played three seasons for Davidson from 2006 until 2009. During his time there, he was named a two-time consensus All-American, two-time Southern Conference Player of the Year, three-time All-Southern team member, 2006-07 Southern Conference Rookie of the Year, and was named to the NCAA All-Region team, among many other accolades

Davidson went 85-20, including a mark of 55-3 in conference play, during Curry's time with the program as a player. Curry also finished his career as the Southern Conference's all-time leading scorer.

Davidson finished the 2024-25 regular season with a 16-15 overall record and a 6-12 mark in Atlantic 10 play this year. Davidson will face Richmond in the Atlantic 10 tournament on Wednesday.

Now, the Warriors star will go back to his alma mater in a new role as he continues to excel for the Warriors.
