The Golden State Warriors got some help for Steph Curry in the backcourt by pulling the trigger on a trade deal for veteran guard Dennis Schroder. In exchange for the 6-foot-1 combo guard (and a 2025 second-round pick), the Warriors sent De'Anthony Melton and three future second-round picks to the Brooklyn Nets.

Schroder has yet to make his debut for his new team, but he got a chance to practice with them on Tuesday ahead of potentially suiting up for the Warriors for the first time on Thursday against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies.

Schroder has battled with Curry many times in the past, and he's now excited to be playing alongside the GOAT shooter. On Tuesday, the German national shared his honest thoughts on his new backcourt partner.

"Just to be able to be around them now, especially Steph," Schroder said, via ESPN. "He's one of, if not the best point guard ever. Best shooter of course. Just excited to see how he works and to be a part of it.

"I've played with a lot of future Hall of Famers the last couple of years. Him and Draymond will make it kind of complete now."

As Schroder indicated, it's not just Curry he's looking forward to playing with. Draymond Green has been part and parcel of the Warriors' success through the years, which is why Schroder is also excited to suit up alongside the feisty veteran.

Schroder, who averaged 18.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.5 triples in 33.6 minutes per game for the Nets this season, will need to battle the likes of Buddy Hield and Brandin Podziemski for playing time now that he's with Golden State.

He started all 23 games for Brooklyn before his trade, but he will now likely come off the bench behind Curry for the Dubs.
