Denver Nuggets: Analyst Reveals 1 Thing That Helped the Nuggets Even the Series vs Minnesota
Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets badly needed to win Games 3 and 4 after dropping both of their home games against the Minnesota Timberwolves. With the pressure up on Nikola Jokic and their team, they managed to wrestle the momentum away from Anthony Edwards and friends and possibly set up a strong 3-2 series position coming into Game 6.

Plenty of things have already been said as the series have become unpredictable for both teams. Chris Finch pointed out to Aaron Gordon as the massive asset that set the difference between their team and the Nuggets throughout the game.

On the other hand, the Timberwolves can only look at themselves when it comes to the games they dropped. Karl-Anthony Towns understands that he cannot support Anthony Edwards if he continues shooting poorly.

However, one analyst points to one specific part of the Nuggets’ performance that became vital to the team’s overall success in Game 4 that hopefully would be maintained in Game 5.

Analyst praises Denver Nuggets bench as they helped stomp Minnesota Timberwolves

Kenneth Teape of Viral Sports News discussed what helped the Nuggets win against the Wolves and return to the Mile High City with the series evenly split. He claims that the bench must be credited with the quality of play they gave to reset the series:

A major difference in this game compared to others in the series was that the Denver bench was able to get something going. Christian Braun and Justin Holiday scored 11 and 10 points respectively, helping their team to a 27-13 edge in bench production.

With the playoffs being a tightly ccontested place where rotations are fixed, it helps that the Nuggets’ rotation would be able to make an impact on the bench.

Nuggets fans will hope that their bench will be able to keep their contributions up for Game 5 because they will be in for a tough Game 5. Not only will Edwards be a nightmare matchup, but Towns and the rest of the roster will also be eager to regain their composure and force a tough contest.
