It was an interesting season for the Denver Nuggets as they got off to a slow start to the year but were able to make a run in the middle of the season.
Denver then struggled to end the season, causing them to fire head coach Michael Malone as well as general manager Calvin Booth.
With Malone gone, the Nuggets elected to replace him with David Adelman as they named him their interim head coach.
Under Adelman, the Nuggets were able to able to finish off the season strong, securing the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
Denver was then able to escape the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs but they were unbale to make it past the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round despite pushing the series to seven games.
While it was not the ending to the season that the Nuggets wanted, they were able to bounce back after firing Malone and they made a crucial decision regarding their head coaching vacancy on Thursday.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Nuggets and Adelman have agreed on a deal to make him the franchise’s next head coach.
“Nuggets were impressed with Adelman’s work as interim coach and moved forward swiftly with him as the full-time coach, sources said. Denver will take a period of time now after the season to sort through their general manager hire,” Charania posted on X.

It is clear that the Nuggets liked what they saw out of the team with Adelman running the sidelined as he will now be their new head coach after leading them to just a win away from the Western Conference Finals.
Of course, the Nuggets now have a major decision to make regarding their vacancy at general manager and they will also have some key decisions to make regarding their roster in the offseason as they try to make another title run next season with Nikola Jokic leading the way.
