Denver Nuggets Make Roster Move After Trail Blazers Game
USA TODAY Sports

On Friday evening, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers by a score of 120-108 (at home in Colorado).

Julian Strawther had missed the previous 13 games with an injury but was upgraded to available against the Trail Blazers.

However, he did not get any playing time.

On Saturday, Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports reported that Strawther has been assigned to the G League.

Via Wind: "Nuggets have sent Julian Strawther to the G League to get game reps after missing the last several weeks with a knee injury. Grand Rapids Gold play Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday all in Grand Rapids."

Strawther was the 29th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Gonzaga.

He has played in 33 games and is averaging 5.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 38.4% from the field and 32.2% from the three-point range.

In a game against the Atlanta Hawks (on December 11), the 21-year-old had 22 points, one rebound, two assists and five steals while shooting 8/16 from the field and 6/11 from the three-point range in 28 minutes of playing time.
