Dillon Brooks is in some legal hot water after being arrested on Friday.

Police took the Phoenix Suns star into custody for driving under the influence after he was stopped in Scottsdale, Arizona, around 2:00 a.m.

According to TMZ, which broke the news, the 30-year-old was released just over an hour later.

“Phoenix Suns player Dillon Brooks was busted for DUI Friday morning, TMZ Sports has learned,” the outlet shared. “Authorities tell us … the small forward was arrested in Scottsdale around 2 AM … and was released from custody around 3:20 AM.”

Brooks is sidelined with a broken hand at the moment and has been off the court since late February.

TMZ also obtained a mugshot of the forward, which is shown below:

“We’re told he was respectful and cooperative before being released,” they added.

No other details are available at the moment. But Brooks’ arrest comes less than a year after he filed a restraining order against the mother of his children.

Brooks filed the temporary order last June, claiming the woman in question threatened to cut off his fingers. He also accused her of hacking his social media accounts, destroying his property and threatening to jeopardize his career.

The 30-year-old was averaging 20.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game on 44 percent shooting from the field before he was injured.

He was a key player for Phoenix, who remain in contention for the playoffs. So his injury comes as a significant blow.

The Suns are seventh in the Western Conference with 20 games left to play.
