Dillon Brooks’ Nasty IG Post Was Clearly Intended For Kevin Durant

In the wake of the Kevin Durant-Mat Ishbia feud on X, Phoenix Suns defensive star Dillon Brooks has joined in on the fiasco. The mercurial forward presumably has had enough of the situation.

What started as an admission by the Suns owner about past mistakes he made for his team struck a nerve with KD. The result? A back-and-forth tirade that quickly went viral online. It was an odd moment when an NBA owner and his former player took shots for everybody to see. That’s a rarity in today’s basketball landscape.  

But it’s Kevin Durant. He’s prone to beefing with anybody he gets his sights on. Plus, he allegedly has multiple burner accounts on the popular social media platform. While Ishbia decided to tone it down, Dillon Brooks started it back up again by igniting another fire.

It’s safe to say that Brooks did not like Kevin Durant taking a swipe at Mat Ishbia and/or the Phoenix Suns. On his latest IG post, he gave a big thanks to the team’s owner while taking a not-so-subtle shot that was clearly aimed at Durant.

‘Thanks Mat for cleaning up that stench in the locker room before I came #culture,’ Brooks said.
