Draymond Green On Stephen Curry Breaking 4K Three-Pointer Milestone: 'I Don’t Even Have 12K Career Points'

Stephen Curry continues to rewrite the record books, reaching an unprecedented milestone by becoming the first player in NBA history to hit 4,000 career three-pointers. 

His longtime teammate, Draymond Green, couldn't help but marvel at the feat, realizing just how absurd Curry’s numbers are in comparison to his own career totals.

On The Draymond Green Show, the Warriors forward shared his reaction to Curry’s historic moment, putting it into perspective with a self-deprecating joke.

"I told him, ‘4K three-pointers, that’s nuts. You scored 12,000 points in threes. I don’t have 12K points in my career.’”

Green, known more for his defensive impact, leadership, and playmaking, has never been a prolific scorer. Throughout his 12-year career, Green has 7538 career points, a lot shy of Curry’s total from three-pointers alone. While Draymond’s impact on the Warriors dynasty is undeniable, his remark highlights the unmatched offensive firepower that Curry has brought to the league.

Curry’s 4,000th three-pointer came early in the third quarter, off a pump fake over two defenders, marking yet another iconic moment in his legendary career. The Chase Center erupted as the Warriors paused to acknowledge their leader’s historic feat, and NBA fans on social media were quick to react.
