Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green found the perfect way to describe a highlight-reel moment with Steph Curry.

After the Warriors’ 129–123 preseason win over the Portland Trail Blazers, Green reshared Curry’s video clip on his Instagram Story showing the star guard throwing a full-court pass to him. Green caught the pass mid-run and finished with a smooth left-handed layup.

“QB1 TO WR2,” Green captioned the clip, likening their connection to a quarterback passing to his wide receiver.

The play came during a fast-paced second quarter, where the Warriors turned defense into offense in seconds, something that has defined their dynasty years. Curry, always alert, spotted Green sprinting down the floor and launched a pinpoint pass across the court.

Green didn’t hesitate, finishing with his left hand as the crowd roared. The broadcast crew couldn’t help but praise the two veterans’ timing and awareness.

“Once you see Draymond, he’s always got his eyes up,” the broadcaster said. “Steph does that like breathing — always throwing it ahead. That’s point guard awareness. The up-and-under — MJ used to do that, changing course in the air.”

It wasn’t just another highlight; it was a glimpse of how the Warriors’ core still operates at an elite level, even after years together.

Warriors Overcome Early Struggles

The Warriors had to claw back after giving up 39 points in the first quarter to the Trail Blazers. Curry looked visibly frustrated early as Golden State’s defense lagged behind Portland’s quick offense.

But things changed in the final stretch. Golden State erupted for 51 points in the fourth quarter, erasing a 21-point deficit. The bench sparked the comeback while the veterans kept the rhythm steady.

The comeback win extended the Warriors’ strong preseason start to 2–0, building momentum as they prepare for the regular season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers on October 21.

While the viral pass was lighthearted, Green’s recent comments show he’s approaching this season with serious determination.

With their chemistry still shining and new additions like Jimmy Butler and Seth Curry joining the mix, the Warriors enter the 2025–26 season with renewed energy.
