Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was watching when Draymond Green went to work Wednesday night.

Green proved instrumental in Golden State's 126-121 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at Intuit Dome.

The victory advances the Warriors to the second round of the play-in tournament. Golden State now faces the Phoenix Suns on Friday for the West's No. 8 seed.

Green held Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard to 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting and 1-of-6 from 3-point range. Steph Curry carried the offense with 35 points, but Green's defensive tenacity fueled the comeback.

James made sure to honor his good friend's hustle and heart on social media.

Green finished with seven points, six rebounds, nine assists and four steals in 35 minutes of action versus the Clippers. Once again, the four-time NBA champion's overall impact did not show up solely on the stat sheet.

Green delivered two crucial defensive stops down the stretch to seal the comeback win. With 48 seconds left, he tipped an inbound pass from Bennedict Mathurin. The steal led to a layup from Brandin Podziemski on the other end. On the next possession, Green snatched the ball from Leonard. That steal sent Curry to the foul line and closed the door on Los Angeles.

ESPN shared a clip of the remarkable sequence on Instagram with a simple caption: "Draymond got that dog in him."

James reshared the post to his Instagram Stories, writing: "THE BIGGEST!!! ABSOLUTE " Green appreciated the kind words and reposted the story.

"Thank you my brotha!!" Green replied to the Lakers star, along with emojis.

Both players are Klutch Sports clients who turned a fierce Finals rivalry into a genuine friendship built over the years.

There is a reason Green is considered the heart and soul of the Golden State franchise. His leadership salvaged a Warriors season ravaged by injuries.

On the year, Green averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. Golden State faces Phoenix on Friday in a do-or-die game, and Green's impact will once again be required.
