Draymond Green Reveals the Four Funniest Warriors' Teammates He's Had

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is still going strong despite being in his 13th season in the NBA. Green won the NBA Hustle Award for 2024-25 and also finished third in voting for Defensive Player of the Year.

Green has been tremendous defensively for the Warriors in their first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets as well. The four-time All-Star is averaging 6.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.7 blocks per game against the Rockets and has helped the Warriors be up 2-1 in the series.

Green had seven points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks in Game 3 as the Warriors won 104-93, despite Jimmy Butler's absence. The Warriors needed Stephen Curry's supporting cast to step up with Butler out, and Green and two others answered the call.

Buddy Hield scored 17 points off the bench while Gary Payton II had 16. Hield helped the Warriors stay in the game in the second quarter with eight points in the period while Payton had 11 in the fourth to help them pull away.

Hield has often come under fire from the Warriors' fanbase for his inconsistent play, but he has remained a very popular figure in the locker room. So much so that Green told The Athletic's Anthony Slater that he's one of the four funniest teammates he's ever had.

"I asked Draymond Green postgame if Hield is the funniest teammate he’s ever had. Green said he’s top four, right next to Brandon Rush, Nick Young and Klay Thompson."

Brandon Rush was perhaps the most surprising inclusion in that top four. Rush was Green's teammate in the 2012-13 season and then from 2014 to 2016. As for Nick Young, he was with the Warriors for just one season, 2017-18.

Lastly, Klay Thompson was Green's teammate for the first 12 years of his career. They won four championships together before Thompson departed for the Dallas Mavericks in 2024.
