The Golden State Warriors have gotten off to a hot start this season.

With a 3-1 record, the Golden State Warriors have shown flashes of being a championship team this season.

Stephen Curry continues to play at a ridiculously high level, Jimmy Butler has been solid and Draymond Green has been anchoring their defense.

If the Golden State Warriors can get consistent play from their supporting cast, they could be a serious threat in the Western Conference.

Draymond Green says he wants to be back in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation, wants to be an All-Star and wants to win another championship

While his offensive numbers don’t stick out, Green has prided himself on his defense throughout his career.

His defensive playmaking and versatility have been a big reason why the Warriors have had their fair share of success throughout the years.

On his podcast, Green outlined the three objectives he has for the upcoming season, which includes him being in Defensive Player of the Year considerations.

“I want to put my name back in the hat to be Defensive Player of the Year. I want to be an All-Star this year, and more important than all, I want to win another —-ing championship this year, and I think we have the team to do that.

“You need to have a variety to the lineups you can put on the floor, and we have that variety, and it’s so exciting.”

Will Draymond Green be able to fulfill his three goals?

Green can certainly be in the running for the Defensive Player of the Year award, but it will be a long shot for him to win it with how dominant Victor Wembanyama has been on that end of the floor.

In terms of making the All-Star team, it will be tough for Green to realize that goal because of how much talent is in the Western Conference, especially with the frontcourt players. So again, this is something Green probably falls short in.

The last lofty goal Green has is winning another championship alongside Stephen Curry. The two have won four championships together to this point.

In essence, this is the most realistic goal Green has set because the Warriors have shown that they can be a championship-level team when they are in sync.

However, with the Oklahoma City Thunder looking dominant and San Antonio Spurs on the rise, it will be tough for Green to win his fifth title this season.
