The Warriors’ season is over, courtesy of Friday’s play-in loss to the Suns. But the offseason should be every bit as dramatic.

While there’s been some doubts, most around the NBA seem to believe Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, coach Steve Kerr, Jimmy Butler (when healthy) and perhaps even Kristaps Porzingis will return for another run.

That said, if there are changes, they could be major.

Let’s start with Green. According to The Athletic’s Nick Friedell and Marcus Thompson II, the speculation has already started.

“With Jonathan Kuminga’s contract gone, Green’s salary is next up as the most tradeable, which will only fuel speculation about using him in trade packages…” the story read. “So if the Warriors want to trade for any player with a significant salary, Green would make the most sense to be included.”

It would probably take a lot for the Warriors to trade Green. He’s a franchise legend and remains one of the game’s top defenders. At some point, though, this team needs to … well, if not rebuild, at least repurpose.

Simply put, the Warriors traded Klay Thompson. They could trade Green, too.

There’s also the issue of Kerr’s expiring contract. By all accounts, the Warriors want him back. Moving on from Kerr would be viewed as change just for the sake of it. Besides that, Curry wants him back (as does Green).

Still, some sources have told Hoops Wire that Kerr may decide he needs a break and move back into a broadcasting role. There was a time when he was really good at that.

Doesn’t mean it’ll happen. But perhaps it’s something to watch.

No matter, next season, the Warriors stand to look at least a little different. They could also look a lot.
