The Golden State Warriors were eliminated from the 2025 NBA Playoffs on Wednesday night. After taking Game 1, the Warriors dropped four straight and were knocked out in the second round.

Game 1 also marked the loss of star guard Steph Curry, who went down with an injury. Without him in the lineup, Golden State struggled to find a rhythm.

One of the players asked to step up in Curry’s absence was veteran forward Draymond Green. He spoke to the media late Wednesday night following the series-ending defeat.

While the Warriors' loss was brutal, Green explained that they would be back in a position to compete in the NBA playoffs.

"Will be right back at it," Green said, per Sam Gordon. "Sucks to end this way, but we think we got the pieces to make another run at it and do it again."

Green finished Game 5 with 10 points and six rebounds but shot just 1-for-6 from beyond the arc. He logged 36 minutes in the loss.

He started the series strong with 18 points and eight rebounds in Game 1. After that, his production dipped to nine and two points in Games 2 and 3. He closed the series with 14 and 10 in the final two games.

During the regular season, the 35-year-old averaged 29.2 minutes per game. He put up 9.0 points and 5.6 assists per game. In 12 postseason games, Green averaged 9.1 points.

Looking ahead, Green has a player option for the 2026-27 season. He’ll turn 36 in March and could become an unrestricted free agent the following year. He’s set to make just under $26 million against the cap next season.
