Dwight Howard and Shaquille O'Neal reignited their beef on social media, as Dwight Howard challenged Shaq to a boxing match. This comes after Shaq and NFL legend Rob Gronkowski spoke about potentially having a fight during the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight. Shaq denied Howard's request and told him he'd stick with Gronk because he meets the requirement of having several championship rings.

Dwight Howard: "Shaq, wassup? (Boxing emoji). Let's make bread."

Shaquille O'Neal: "Gotta have more than one ring to get in the ring with me, I'll stick with a real champion like Rob Gronkowski, and you can have the Superman belt, all yours buddy."

Dwight didn't back down, as he joked about Shaq ducking him. O'Neal then clarified that the event he and Gronk had discussed would have seen NBA and NFL stars go at it, before upping the stakes and challenging Dwight to win his fight before fighting him, even throwing shade at Jake Paul's opponent's choices, and saying he would fight Howard if he made it to the hall of fame.

Dwight Howard: "My bad I didn’t read the rulebook. (Duck emoji)"

Shaquille O'Neal: "If you would've read it, notice it says NBA vs NFL. With that being said you can box an NFL guy. And then, if you win, then you can get the Jones of the big man, the goat, the one true Superman."

"You wait till I'm fifty to challenge me, that’s funny. Just join the show and let’s whoop some NFL guys. And if you make it to the Hall of Fame, then we'll do it."

Dwight Howard: "Fair."

It is unclear whether Shaq and Gronk's NBA vs. NFL boxing event will come to fruition, but it appears despite the beef between the two, Howard is welcome to participate. But we may have to wait to get a physical confrontation between the two big men.

Shaq's Beef With Dwight Might Never End

Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard's beef with each other has been ongoing for 16 years. It all started during the 2008 NBA Dunk Contest when Howard dressed up as Superman for a dunk. Shaq infamously was called Superman and didn't take kindly to what he thought was an attempt from Howard to steal the nickname.

In the years since, both players have gone back and forth, trading barbs and insults. Shaq has made fun of Howard's career failures, while Howard has taken jabs at Shaq for being sensitive and holding on to what he considers a minor infraction at best. It appeared that the two had put things behind them at the 2020 NBA All-Star weekend when Howard jokingly dressed as Superman again.

But their beef was reignited soon after. Earlier this year, the two exchanged words over the Superman nickname once again. It didn't end there, as Howard claimed Shaq had sent him very aggressive and disrespectful messages. Shaq responded by sharing a video of Chris Paul posterizing Howard to mock him.

It is unclear whether this beef will ever end, as the two stars continue to take every opportunity to go at each other.
