The Los Angeles Clippers have made significant improvements to their roster, including acquiring Bradley Beal from the market. According to Dwyane Wade, this has been a long time coming because players want to play with James Harden.

Across the NBA, many elite playmakers enhance their teammates’ abilities. James Harden is possibly the best in the league at maximizing his teammates’ greatest strengths. This has been evident from his time with the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers.

A player with this mindset is Bradley Beal, the latest addition to the Clippers’ roster. The high-scoring shooting guard has always been a strong offensive player, but being with Harden could help him even more.

Beal will benefit from playing with Harden

Throughout his career, Beal has played with many excellent playmakers. He spent multiple seasons in the same backcourt as John Wall on the Washington Wizards. Beal also had one season playing with Russell Westbrook.

Beal will now be playing for the Clippers, sharing the backcourt with Harden. This is a huge boost for Beal, as he could benefit from getting more open shots. The 2017-18 MVP is one of this generation’s best playmakers, and Beal wants to shine even more as his partner. It also helps that the backcourt partners have already spoken to each other.

That is what NBA legend Dwyane Wade feels, as he has heard that Harden is the dream teammate. Most offensive-minded players want a player who will give them the ball in the right spots. Harden is the perfect example of that, and Beal wants that after two tumultuous seasons in Phoenix.

“Bradley’s at a place where he wants to be. I know he’s playing with a player in James that he’s probably wanted to play with for a while. I know a lot of players want to play with James because of his playmaking ability. I’ve heard James is a great leader too,” Wade said on his Time Out show.

“It seems like a place where you get to decide where to go, a place where you want to be. You’re looking at it like I’m the missing piece. To go as a veteran guy and to play with other veterans, it’s probably something needed.”

The Clippers will have an exciting 2025-26 season

The 2025-26 season in the Western Conference looks to be a competitive group again. Of course, the Oklahoma City Thunder are the favorites to win the championship again, but they have some competition.

The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves aim for redemption, but other teams could become dark horses. One of those teams is the Clippers, mostly due to their improved roster. People are saying the Clippers have an older roster, but as long as they stay healthy, it shouldn’t be an issue.

With Harden as a star player, the Clippers could go far in the upcoming season. His playmaking and scoring have been excellent, which could lead to a great campaign for the team. Kawhi Leonard is still the superstar player, but they have a good group.

The Clippers expect Beal to perform well as an elite player on both ends of the court, which should bode well. They might be an older group, but they have the experience to shine under the brightest lights.
