Renowned Fox Sports broadcaster and television personality Erin Andrews is celebrating another major milestone for her rapidly expanding apparel line.
Andrews has been a prominent fixture in sports media since her tenure at ESPN began in 2004. Recently, her brand, WEAR by Erin Andrews, partnered with one of the NBA’s storied franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers, for a special playoff release.
The popular clothing line was officially launched in 2019 with co-founder and CEO of SMAC Entertainment, Constance Schwartz-Morini. Andrews recognized a gap in the market for fashionable women’s fan gear during the 2016 Super Bowl.
So she set out to create stylish, comfortable apparel that went far beyond the clichéd designs traditionally marketed to women. Their mission was to offer versatile gear that female fans could proudly and comfortably sport in their daily routines.
On Wednesday, an exclusive Lakers and WEAR collaboration was announced. The official Lakers Store posted a photo of a sleek collaborative collection of long-sleeved T-shirts, hoodies, and jackets.
"GAME TIME We’re kicking off Game 5 with an exclusive collab from @wearbyea available in-arena only at Team LA Store when doors open at 5:30 p.m.! Don’t miss your chance to rep the Lakers in style this playoff season" read the caption.
In response to the playoff merchandise drop, Andrews quickly took to the comments section to share her enthusiasm. The sportscaster reacted with an excited, two-word response.
"Heeeeeelllllll yes,” Andrews wrote.
Designed to be worn “AnyWEAR and EveryWEAR,” the company has successfully partnered with nearly 200 teams across major professional sports organizations. These include the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA, NWSL, WNBA, U.S. Soccer and, most recently, the WWE.
The brand’s mainstream visibility grew further after celebrities were spotted wearing the pieces to games. Pop icon Taylor Swift was among those seen wearing it.
Andrews’ personal connection to sports goes beyond her apparel business and NFL sideline reporting duties. It extends into her home life. She is married to former NHL player and two-time Stanley Cup champion Jarret Stoll.
This new deal adds to WEAR’s expanding list of team partnerships across professional sports. It also shows the Lakers using exclusive collaborations to connect with fans during the NBA playoffs.
The Lakers are currently battling the Houston Rockets in the first round. They are up 3-2 in the series with Game 6 in Houston scheduled on Friday.
