Final Injury Report for Trail Blazers-Nuggets: Will Shaedon Sharpe, Jerami Grant Play?

The Portland Trail Blazers are on the road on Monday night as they travel to take on the Denver Nuggets in a Western Conference showdown.

Portland enters Monday’s game with a 40-38 record after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Thursday night.

In Thursday’s victory over the Pelicans, Deni Avdija led the way for the Trail Blazers as he recorded 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while Jrue Holiday added 27 points, five rebounds and nine assists of his own.

Now Portland will try to grab another victory on Monday as they face off against the Nuggets in a tough road matchup.

On the other side, Denver enters Monday’s contest with a 50-28 record after defeating the San Antonio Spurs at home in overtime on Saturday afternoon.

Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets in Saturday’s victory as he ended the game with 40 points, eight rebounds and 13 assists while Christian Braun recorded 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Monday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Trail Blazers Injury Report: Will Shaedon Sharpe, Jerami Grant Play?

For the Trail Blazers, they have four players listed on their injury report, including both Shaedon Sharpe and Jerami Grant.

Portland has ruled out Sharpe due to a stress reaction in his left that has kept him out since Feb. 7 and there is still no timetable for his return.

With Sharpe still sidelined, Scoot Henderson, Kris Murray and Sidy Cissoko could all continue to have increased roles until he is cleared to return.

The Trail Blazers have also ruled out Grant due to a right calf strain as he will miss his fourth consecutive contest.

Vit Krejci has also been ruled out as he continues to recover from a left calf contusion while Damian Lillard remains sidelined while recovering from a torn Achilles.

Nuggets Injury Report: Will Bruce Brown, Peyton Watson Play?

On the other side, the Nuggets have four players listed on their injury, including both Bruce Brown and Peyton Watson.

Denver has listed Brown as probable and he is expected to play despite dealing with a left ankle sprain.

The Nuggets have listed Zeke Nnaji as questionable due to a left hip strain and he is in danger of missing his third consecutive contest.

If Nnaji is sidelined once again, Jonas Valanciunas could be in line for an increased role off the bench behind Jokic.

Peyton Watson and Spencer Jones have both been ruled out as they continue to recover from right hamstring strains.
