Former Knicks Wing Engages in Hilarious Beef With Old Teammate

New York Knicks fans did not love Evan Fournier. The sharpshooter came to New York and got handed a contract that became the subject of disdain for many fans in the city. That issue is someone else's problem now.

Fournier's time in the NBA may be over. The former Knick is heading to Europe, joining Olympiacos in Greece.

Fournier posted a message on his Twitter/X account upon joining the team, stating: "Olympiacos welcomed me like family. This isn’t a new chapter. It’s the continuation of something strong. Couldn’t be happier to be part of this sacré club for 3 more seasons.❤️ See you all soon"

Nikola Vucevic's message to Fournier was much shorter and simpler than that. The two were teammates on the Orlando Magic. That familiarity allowed Vucevic to feel comfortable expressing his thoughts on the matter with some colorful language.

"Feel sorry for Olympiakos fans having to watch this d*****bag for 3 more seasons," the Chicago Bulls center wrote.

Fournier claps back at Vucevic on Twitter/X

Fournier was not ready to take that comment quietly. The former first-round pick had a retort at the ready for his old teammate.

"Its ok bro I know you’re tired of playing for the lottery," Fournier said in response to Vucevic.

For those thinking this is an intense back and forth, it is. However, no one should be misled into believing the two are genuinely at each other's throats here.

Many have been quick to point out that Fournier and Vucevic have a solid friendship off the court. The added context allows one to see this for what it is, some playful ribbing.

The Knicks do not need to worry about playing for the lottery or paying Fournier anymore. This fanbase simply got to sit back and watch some quality online entertainment in this one.
