Pascal Siakam is set to receive a lucrative contract this summer.
The former Toronto Raptors All-Star is reportedly nearing a long-term contract extension with the Indiana Pacers, according to Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files:
The Pacers are nearing a long-term contract extension with forward Pascal Siakam, league sources told Fieldhouse Files.
Both sides know how each other feels + want the partnership to continue. Story to come.

The terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, but it seems likely that Siakam is heading towards a maximum contract in free agency.
The Raptors traded Siakam to the Pacers on Jan. 17, signalling a rebuild around Scottie Barnes. The Raptors received Bruce Brown Jr., Jordan Nwora, Kira Lewis Jr. and three first-round picks for Siakam.
The 30-year-old wanted to stay with Toronto but the Raptors never offered Siakam an extension. Therefore, instead of possibly losing Siakam for nothing this summer as he is set to become an unrestricted free agent, the Raptors decided to move on from him.
The Pacers can Siakam to a max contract worth up to $245 million over five seasons. It’ll be interesting to see if Siakam receives this full value.
Siakam appeared in 41 regular season games for Indiana and averaged 21.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. In playoffs, Siakam averaged a team-best 21.6 points in 17 games, leading the Pacers to an Eastern Conference Finals appearance. The team’s first in 10 years.
Siakam will always have love for Toronto and the respect is mutual from the Raptors fanbase. Siakam has an incredible tenure with Toronto. He spent eight seasons in Toronto where he helped the Raptors win the 2019 NBA championship. Siakam also earned the league’s Most Improved Player award in 2019. He made two All-Star teams while with the Raptors and he was named to an All-NBA team twice.
There wasn’t much doubt that Siakam would re-sign with the Pacers, but now given this recent report it seems close to a lock that it will happen.
O.G. Anunoby not ‘thrilled’ with Knicks’ current offer and could test free agent market
Unlike Pascal Siakam’s situation with the Indiana Pacers, there’s a bit of uncertainty regarding O.G. Anunboy’s future with the New York Knicks.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst was on Get Up and said that Anunoby is not ‘thrilled’ with the Knicks’ current offfer.
