Another former Toronto Raptor is on the move, Jeff Dowtin Jr. has found a new home.
Dowtin Jr. inked a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. This deal comes due to his performance with Philadelphia’s Summer League roster.
The 6’3″ guard is looking for an opportunity at 27-years-old and seemingly does not have much time left to show what he’s got.
In three years, Dowtin Jr. has suited up for five teams, Toronto, Philadelphia, Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks.
For his career, Dowtin Jr. is averaging 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists on 44.5 percent from the field and 34.1 percent from 3-point range in 46 appearances.
Hopefully, finding a new home with the 76ers will result in a long term stay for the former Raptor:
The Philadelphia 76ers are signing guard Jeff Dowtin Jr. on a two-way NBA contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Dowtin averaged 17.1 points and 5.7 assists across NBA Summer League for 76ers this season after playing 12 games for Philadelphia in 2023-24.

In his lone season with the Raptors, Dowtin Jr. averaged 2.4 points, 0.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 43.9 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from distance in 25 games. Worth noting, Dowtin Jr. played the most games with Toronto.
While Philadelphia has their guard rotation seemingly set with Tyrese Maxey, Kyle Lowry and Jared McCain, performing well in the G League is all he can do right now.
All in all, question marks remain for Dowtin Jr., but maybe some of those get answered with the 76ers.
Dowtin Jr. is not the only former Raptor on the move as Ron Harper Jr. also found a new landing spot.
On July 14, Harper Jr. signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the reigning champion Boston Celtics. He spent his summer on Boston’s Summer League roster.
This contract allows him to join the Celtics in training camp, but will likely spend his time playing for their G League affiliate, Maine Celtics.
