Following a short spell with the Cleveland Charge, former Wisconsin Basketball forward Aleem Ford will make his return to America’s Dairyland with the Wisconsin Herd in the NBA G League.

Since graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Ford has had stints with Puerto Rican side Leones de Ponce, the Orlando/Lakeland Magic, and Cleveland Charge.
During his time with the Magic, he averaged 2.8 PPG and 3.0 RPG through five appearances. After being sent down to Orlando’s G League squad in Lakeland for a season, he returned to Puerto Rico for a second run with Ponce.
Ford will be joining notable pros such as TyTy Washington Jr. and Wenyen Gabriel. The Herd currently sit ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 12-13 record, hoping for a big impact from the 6’8″, 220 lb. Badger graduate.
During his junior year with the Wisconsin basketball team, Ford started all 31 games for the Badgers, notching a season-high 19 points against Purdue. A season later, he dropped 15 and 17 points against Penn State, and 15 against Michigan.
With a familiar change in scenery, it will be interesting to see if Ford can find minutes in the NBA anytime soon.
