Fans in Milwaukee (Wisconsin) are taking a collective sigh of relief.
People were in a frenzy when trade rumors hit social media about Giannis Antetokounmpo leaving the Bucks.
The nine-time NBA All-Star, nine-time All-NBA team selection, two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, 2021 NBA Champion, and 2021 NBA Finals MVP silenced all trade rumors in a recent interview with eurohoops.net. Antetokounmpo wants to get back to the Finals and he wants to do it with the Bucks. He is excited for the Thunder and Pacers having this opportunity, but the “Greek Freak” understands the work it takes to get to the league’s biggest stage.
“The Finals are different, I hope to be back soon with the Bucks,” Antetokounmpo said.
This statement seals Antetokounmpo not wanting to leave Milwaukee.
He has been frustrated with being bounced from the playoffs in the first round for three straight years.
Hopefully, the Bucks put Antetokounmpo in a situation where it does not happen next season.
