Giannis Antetokounmpo Gave Love To An Old Ally
Michael McLoone-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Dallas Mavericks in a thrilling 124-115 game on Sunday.

It was a chance to see two of the best players in the league, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic, duke it out with their respective teams.

In the end, the Bucks pulled out the win and Antetokounmpo was once again a huge part of their victory.

Following the game, the Greek Freak gave love to the players he fought against – and their coach.

Antetokounmpo was spotted giving a hug, and some unknown words, to Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd following the game.

These two men have quite the history together but they are both enjoying the best parts of their careers right now.

Giannis & Jason

He is now known as the HC of the Mavericks but a few years ago, Kidd was leading the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks gave him the head coach position after a brief stint with the Brooklyn Nets back in 2014.

He was the head coach of the Bucks until 2018.

It was during that time that the team acquired rookie Antetkounmpo.

Kidd had an impact on the young player’s game: it was under his leadership that Antetokounmpo started playing the guard position more.

There were controversies about Kidd’s tenure in Milwaukee, mostly related to the amount of power he was trying to wield within the front office and how he treated the players.

In fact, Antetkounmpo himself has publicly commented on just how harsh and intense Kidd’s coaching style was.

But that’s all in the past now and both Kidd and Antetkounmpo have gone on to bigger and better things.

These two men might not be sitting down for dinner together any time soon but it’s good to see they are at least cordial.
