Golden State Warriors: Even Stephen Curry Can’t Believe Their Home Struggles This 2023-24
John Hefti-USA TODAY Sports

There’s no denying that the Golden State Warriors have been struggling this season, especially in their own court. But after going through the numbers, even All-Star point guard Stephen Curry can’t believe how his team has performed at home all season long.

Proof of this struggle can be seen in the Dubs’ recent game against the New York Knicks at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. In that game, the Warriors lost to the Jalen Brunson-led team with a score of 119-112.

The first-time All-Star dropped 34 points, five rebounds, and seven assist for New York while Miles McBride added 29 points on 69 percent shooting from the field and 66 percent from deep to seal the win for the Knicks. Meanwhile, Curry led Golden State by dropping 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

This victory helped New York hold the East’s fourth seed with 41 wins and 27 losses. The Dubs, on the other hand, have dropped to 10th place with a 35-21 record.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors’ Home Court Struggles This Season

After the game, Curry spoke to reporters and lamented the lack of consistency from the Warriors. Furthermore, Golden State’s record at home was also discussed in a video posted by Warriors on NBC, leading the four-time NBA champion to wonder how the Dubs have been performing at the Chase Center this season.

As it stands, the Warriors have a 17-18 record playing at home this season. Among the teams that got a win at the Chase Center are the Phoenix Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, and Los Angeles Lakers.

With Curry saying that they need to correct whatever it was ailing the team, Golden State needs to take action fast. Otherwise, they may end up missing the playoffs this year.
