Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr urged his team to play with desperation in Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

They are one loss away from a second-round exit because they’ve been struggling without star guard Stephen Curry. Despite the unfavorable odds , Kerr believes the Golden State Warriors can swing the tide if they steal Game 5 on the road.

“Obviously we’re in a tough spot now being down 3-1, but we feel very strongly we can come out and get a win tomorrow. All it takes is one win and the momentum of the series shifts,” Kerr said via 95.7 The Game.

The Golden State Warriors are keen to extend the series since Game 6 is Stephen Curry’s estimated earliest return to action. Having Curry in the lineup changes things, since his presence makes them a more dangerous team.

“If he’s in a place where he can play, I’m sure he will. Him and Rick (Celebrini, Warriors VP of player health and performance) and everybody will figure that out. But we don’t need (Curry to try to be) Superman,” Green said via ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk.

“Gotta play the long game. If he can, we know he will. But there’s no pressure. We’ve got to figure out how to win whether he plays or not,” he added.
