The Memphis Grizzlies extended their win streak to four in a 122-115 win Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz in the FedExForum. Memphis was led in scoring by eighth-year guard out of Duke Luke Kennard who added 30 points on 78.6% shooting with seven threes off the bench.
In a game where the Grizzlies were out-rebounded by 21, former Boston Celtics guard Lamar Stevens led the team in rebounds with six in 12 minutes off the bench. This game was the final of Stevens’ second 10-day contract with Memphis, averaging four points and three rebounds per game on 35.0% shooting in 9.8 minutes over the 20-day period.
Ahead of their matchup with the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers (15-game win streak), the Grizzlies made an announcement for Stevens moving forward.
The Memphis Grizzlies announced Thursday morning that they were signing Stevens for the remainder of the season after finishing two 10-day contracts with the team.

The formerly un-drafted prospect out of Penn State has played for the Boston Celtics, Cavaliers, and Grizzlies throughout his five-year career. In 19 appearances last season for Boston, Stevens averaged 2.8 points and 1.6 rebounds per game on 46.7% shooting in 6.4 minutes.
After a four-game losing streak, the Grizzlies turned it around by supplying a four-game win streak and getting them back to the second seed in the Western Conference. However, they fell to Cleveland on Friday, snapping that streak. With just 15 games remaining in the regular season, Memphis will need to win as many games as possible to defend the second seed heading into the playoffs.
