Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks suspended for Game 3 vs. Warriors after flagrant foul injures Gary Payton II

With all four NBA conference semifinals series now two games old, one thing is clear: The western conference battle between the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies and third-seeded Golden State Warriors seems like it's going to be the most physical among them.

The series is knotted at one game apiece, but the biggest storylines thus far have been the actions of Golden State's Draymond Green and Memphis' fifth-year pro Dillon Brooks.

Green — an elite defender with a well-known fiery persona — was assessed a flagrant 2 foul and automatic ejection in the second quarter of the Dubs' Game 1 victory on Sunday. Not to be outdone, Brooks was tossed after committing a flagrant 2 foul on Gary Payton II — leaving the Warriors guard with a fractured elbow — during the Grizzlies' Game 2 win on Tuesday.

Golden State's veteran forward wasn't suspended, but Brooks and the rest of the league found out on Thursday afternoon that the Memphis player won't earn the same fate.

While Green did escape without a suspension from his incident on Sunday, he did lose some loose change from his pockets due to his "flipping of the birds" toward fans during Game 2.
